High definition television is becoming more popular and you will find an assortment of HDTV channels through either company. Currently Dishnetwork has 31 HDTV channels in a package that can be added on to any other programming package. Directtv has about 11 HDTV channels that are available through Total Choice Plus HD or as an individual add-on. Both companies can get you access to your local channels in high definition where they are available.
